Mu Du Brunch

April 30th, 2009 No comments

Tired of the same old brunch offerings? Come to MuDu for something different and fun!! Different in the dishes offered, the method of serving the food, to the method that we tally your bill!! It will be the same great quality and integrity of ingredients….but different. Remember that Mu always has your health in mind with her offerings of delicious and soul satisfying food!!

Starting May 3rd, we will begin our Sunday Brunch, offering healthy, new and exciting small plates.  We will be open from 11:00 – 2:00. The plates will be presented in a “dim sum” manner. There will be some “dim sum” (dumplings) dishes, but some of the offerings will be more “pub-ish” (smaller entrees) in nature. We will pull from all over the world, nothing is off limits. If there is something special at the Farmer’s Market, we will include that as well. The cooks will have a great opportunity to show their stuff without the normal constraints. This should be a great deal of fun and a great experience for all. We are also planning on having guest chefs/cooks to spice up our offerings in the future. Reservations is strongly suggested.

As this concept evolves, we will incorporate a Salon featuring lectures and discussions on interesting, important and timely topics. This is slated to start in June after the brunch hour. If all goes well, a light Sunday supper may be added later in the year.  Stay posted.

This idea came out of Mu’s desire to create a space that encourages the exchange of ideas as well as food, and ultimately strengthen our connection to each other.

My mother’s name is Patricia, not Judith. So why do I feel like my mom was waiting on my table at Mu Du Noodles the other night?
“Here are some pea shoots,” said a woman named Judith said to me and my two faithful dining companions shortly after ordering appetizers at this regaled Santa Fe eatery, which has long been on my list of “must eat” restos in that city. read more…
