July Update

July 16th, 2010 No comments

We, at Mu Du Noodles, have already experienced one month of Sunday Dinners. They have been extremely successful!! We are very thankful to our loyal customers, who have weathered all our fine tunings and adjustments both inside and outside the kitchen. It’s been hard but it’s been very rewarding and fun. And Mu has learned many new things in the process!!!! Not necessarily all having to do with food.

We are presenting Asian Tapas from everywhere, no continents left unexpressed. You must order off of our new menu, no carts or trays for now. This way, customers have an opprtunity to know what they will be getting, a major complaint for those not familiar with the Dim Sum concept.

25% to 33% of our menu changes from week to week
33% to 40% of our menu items are vegetarian
with anywhere from 33% to 60% of the vegetarian items can be made vegan.

We will also be offering some of the tapas on Friday and Saturday nights in our new lounge area. Mu believes that this is the new way to eat in the future. More variety and less of any single item will give your taste buds something to be excited about.

Sunday Small Plates Dinners

May 30th, 2010 No comments

Starting on June 6th, 2010 we will be opening for Sunday dinners. This will replace our previous Summer Sunday Brunch of 2009. The offerings will be Asian Tapas with exciting new drinks. It is our belief that eating smaller poritons with more variety is the trend of the future. (Plus it’s healthier) Come and join us.

Hello all you blog people out there.
We are taking a little time off to regroup during the wintery months and discontinuing our Sunday brunch for the moment. We are planning to do something on Sundays during the spring and summer months. Maybe you might have some input as to what you would like to see happen, especially using the new room and with the warmer months approaching. We have some ideas, but we definitely would like to hear from all of you as well. I’m definitely a person that believes in synergy and the more input the merrier. No idea is too trivial or too big. So, give it a try and post your comments/thoughts.
Peace and good health,
Mu

Asian Tapas Summary

January 8th, 2010 No comments

In the latest review from the Santa Fe Reporter, Zane Fischer writes:

Asian tapas, crime and pleasure: a love story

posted: 12/09/2009

To hell with the breakfast burrito—I want breakfast soup from now on.
I know, I know: sacrilege.

But the congee at Mu Du Noodles’ Sunday brunch is sumptuous enough to make me lie in print about giving up the tortilla-wrapped goodness for good. It’s like a plate of migas crashed into a bowl of miso in a display case full of fine spices and landed in a gift basket of Asian delicacies.

I’ve given serious thought to kidnapping chef and owner Mu Jing Lau and holding her in a dark basement somewhere until she coughs up the recipe. On the one hand, turning to crime seems excessive. On the other hand, I can’t be waiting around for

11 am on Sundays for more congee.
